LimeAde

June is here and the rains are upon us. A great way to boost your immunity is by loading up on Vitamin C, and what better way to get your vitamin C requirement than by making LimeAde.

Limes are a great source of Vitamin C and antioxidants. And thankfully they are very abundant here in Nigeria during the rainy season and inexpensive to.

The best part is you can make it with your eyes closed. It is that easy to make. And you can make it with or without colour. Lime juice also does a lot better at room temperature than many citrus juices.

Recipe

Ingredients (serves 10-15)

  • 4 litres Water
  • 3 cups (75cl) fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 cups sugar ( you can add more or less or substitute with sweetener of choice)
  • *Pink food colour : a little dash (Red can be a substitute but use just a little) this is optional

Procedure

Mix all together in a large bowl, stir continuously till sugar dissolves, refrigerate till chilled or serve with ice.

A really cold glass of LimeAde , on a hot day working In The Garden, is a great way to refresh
